The realities of the biblical text are to teach believers how to live righteously until Jesus Christ returns; “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV). With this being our battle cry to teach, rebuke, and equip people of faith around the world; R-Rated Religion provides weekly commentaries on current events that affect our lives. In addition to our weekly theological articles, these commentaries often accompany and showcase websites, articles, podcasts, research, ideologies, and YouTube videos from around the world that speak to relevant issues that pertain to the Church and society.

It is in this section that you will find our endorsements, condemnations, and general comments about literature and voices from across the political and religious spectrum. It is our aim to help others better understand the word of God and how to apply those principles to everyday life. R-Rated Religion is well aware that other like-minded apologists are attempting to do the same and it is here where we can support and encourage them (1 Corinthians 15:8). Look for our recommendations on current events research or articles of relevance to strengthen your faith in Christ and help you better understand difficult issues.

Conversely, it is also here that R-Rated Religion takes a stand against heresy, evil, ignorance, arrogance, false doctrine, charlatanism, abuse of power, and all other forms of anti-truth promulgation (1 Peter 5:8-9). We will not back down or remain silent on theological, social, and political issues that corrode our society and blaspheme the word of our Lord; this includes public figures, global organizations, and Church leadership. Our voice will be heard stentoriously and without remorse.

1 Timothy 6:11-21 states:

But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who in his testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which he will display at the proper time—he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen. As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life. O Timothy, guard the deposit entrusted to you. Avoid the irreverent babble and contradictions of what is falsely called “knowledge,” 21 for by professing it some have swerved from the faith. Grace be with you (English Standard Version).
